Welcome to my special place!

For those of you who don't know, I play the holy BASS! I held my first bass on my thirteenth birthday. I remember that moment like it was yesterday...actually no I can't, man I smoke too much!! Anyways where was I?...Ah yes my first bass, as soon as that four string-ed beast was in my hands I fell in love..
I had already been playing music for six years so it wasn't totally alien to me. Now I don't know if I should say this for my reputation but in my first band 'MIST', we played Oasis tunes. Oh dear! Moving swiftly on..the next band I joined we played errrm...more Oasis. Ahh!! Not a good start to my bass career really!
After a couple of years just teaching myself (and playing Oasis!) I was asked to play in a band, which went by the name of 'AXIS' (Tim, Wayne and my mate Callum who played guitar and vocals). These guys were good!! Ever since I started to play bass I always wanted to be in their band! At first I wasn't sure because I was nowhere near as good as them but I went for the audition and got in. You can see the puzzle piecing together! >

Tim showed me a CD of this band he loved called Metallica, need I say anything else. 'AXIS' covered a few of their tunes so I got stuck into learning the works of legend Cliff Burton and the awesome Jason Newstead and then we rocked out! To cut a long story short 'AXIS' split up and Wayne, Tim and myself reformed. After I tried to do vocals for the band, we found the missing link an amazing vocalist by the name of Max, who we had to get to join our band! INTRAVERSE WAS BORN!
Having been self-taught and listening to the talent of the others I decided my bass playing needed some big improvement! I heard on the radio of a new music college opening in Brighton so I checked it out. (If there's anyone who wants to do music I seriously reccommend The Brighton Institute of Modern Music - BIMM) So from Sept. '02 - July '03 I did an HND (Higher National Diploma) which I passed with Merit! I also got to meet and play with established musicians like Mark Richardson (drummer, Skunk Anansie & Feeder), Sky (vocalist, Morcheeba), Ace (guitarist, Skunk Anansie), Rob Harris (guitarist, Jamiroquai) it was the best year ever!!!
So now 4 years after the birth of 'INTRAVERSE' I want to say I wouldn't do this with anyone else!! And thanks to anyone who took time to read this. PEACE!
